This firm exists because of Karen Cookson’s father.

He was the first Coloured Chartered Accountant in the Western Cape - a pioneer who built his practice on integrity, excellence, and deep respect for people. Before his passing, he expressed the wish that one of his children would continue the work. Karen chose to honour that wish, fully aware that she was stepping into a legacy that carried both meaning and responsibility.

Karen completed the required studies, committed herself to staying rigorously up to date with South African tax and labour legislation, and steadily took over the practice - leading it forward not by changing its values, but by protecting them.

Many of our clients have been with us since the very beginning - and those clients are still with us today after 35 years. Almost every new client comes to us through word of mouth, a reflection of relationships that last decades rather than transactions.
